Here's some !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! off of Saabblog.net concerning the electric 9-3. Still no idea what it looks like yet, but at least they're doing something with the factory.

In Trollhättan production of the Saab 9-3 EV has begun. Today was announced by press officer Mikael Östlund Radio P4 Väst.

The first 200 electric vehicles will go to China in the spring or summer. The Saab electric car is currently under construction outside the regular production line, mass production on the bands starts from September. The sale of the first electric Saab, based on the 9-3 starts in 2015 in China, Sweden and Europe.

The exact date for the launch in the European markets is not yet clear and is dependent on the appropriate licenses. The batteries of the Saab EV located in the lower area of the body that has been modified for this. This allows the lowest possible center of gravity and a good, sporty handling. The range of the vehicles will be 200 kilometers. In the Swedish press was at times of up to 280 kilometers, the speech and Östlund announced that the range will continue to rise.

The weight of the batteries will decrease in the future, the energy content increase, so Östlund on. NEVS has to be the goal of a leading provider of electric cars.

The way is long and expensive, notes Victor Jensen Radio P4 Väst. Has NEVS the necessary capital to it? Yes, replies Mikael Östlund.

Pictures of the Saab EV, eagerly awaited, there is not yet. NEVS keeps a low profile. But there is good news for us who come from Sweden. Europe is scheduled for 2015 and Germany is on the European map. 200 km range are acceptable for a start. The battery technology is rapidly evolving, increases within a short time are possible.

Apparently this isn't the only big thing happening with the brand, on May 29th there will be some big announcement from NEVS, which will be the most important event to happen to the brand since it was restarted. No idea what they could have planned, but the rumors are already all over the place.

I actually just wonder what the logo will look like, since they've ditched the Griffin.

I was hoping that they would have gone with the old school airplane logo that you posted, but I think they're going with just the black logo. It's not bad, simple and clean, I guess.

I think (hope?) that is just a placeholder. Saab has always had great logos, as I see you appreciate with your avatar.
